Punjab has immense potential in fruits & vegetables sector; successful food processing will increase farmers’ profits

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit is receiving an overwhelming response from investors and industry leaders, describing it as clear evidence that Punjab is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for investment and economic growth.
During a media interaction at the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit,CM stated, “Investor Summit is receiving tremendous response from investors, which is proof of Punjab’s progress,” stated CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.
The Chief Minister said that the Punjab Government is focused on building a development model that connects the state’s strong agricultural base with industrial growth, ensuring greater opportunities for farmers and youth. “Our aim is to connect Punjab’s agricultural strength with industry so that new opportunities can be created for farmers and the youth of Punjab,” stated Mann.
Highlighting the potential of the agriculture and allied sectors, the Chief Minister said, “Punjab has immense potential in the fruits and vegetables sector. If food processing succeeds here, it will substantially increase the profits of our farmers.”
The Chief Minister further stated that Punjab is steadily moving towards a new economic trajectory that links its agricultural productivity with global markets and modern industries.
Taking a swipe at previous governments, the Chief Minister said that earlier administrations had created an atmosphere of mistrust among investors. “Earlier governments used to demand a share from industry, but the AAP Government is providing a transparent and conducive environment for entrepreneurs,” stated CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.
CM Mann added that the Punjab Government is committed to creating an investor-friendly ecosystem in the state, ensuring that industries, farmers and youth all benefit from Punjab’s growth story.
